Roundtables

A Roundtable is an informal but focused work session that provides a playwright with the opportunity to hear his/her play with a director/facilitator, professional actors, and a few Lark Staff. Roundtables are unrehearsed table readings designed to support a playwright in exploring specific writing goals and questions about their play. These are unstaged readings focusing on the play's text.

The Roundtable is to:

  • Supplement pipeline projects (i.e., Studio Retreats, Off-site workshops, partnership consortiums, etc.,)
  • Support Lark core artists (Who have participated in other Lark programming).
  • Introduce new playwrights to the Lark who are referred by core Lark artists.

These readings are closed to the general public; however, we invite you to contact us at the email below if you would like to attend a Roundtable to observe the Lark process up close. For more information about attending a Roundtable please email Roundtables@larktheatre.org.
