Former Communications Associate
Tj Weaver first joined The Lark in January 2013 as the Community Relationships Intern and later joined the staff as Lark's Communications Associate in February 2013. Tj is a freelance theater director of new plays and musicals. He is also a playwright, poet and short fiction writer. Directing credits include: Larry Powell’s EASY TO FALL IN LOVE (co-directed w/ Tonya Pinkins; The Fire This Time Festival), Aaron Leventman’s THE BOY and Jeff Stolzer’s THE GUN SHOP (The Secret Theatre), Amy Peterson’s FEAST OF JOVI BONO (co-directed w/ Daniela Hart; Manhattan Rep), and a production of Beth Henley’s CRIMES OF THE HEART (Magnolia Arts Center). Recent assistant directing credits include: Neil LaBute’s THE WAY WE GET BY (Dir. Leigh Silverman, Second Stage Theater), Keith Josef Adkin’s PITBULLS (Dir. Leah C. Gardiner; Rattlestick Playwrights Theater), Cori Thomas’ WHEN JANUARY FEELS LIKE SUMMER (Dir. Daniella Topol; Ensemble Studio Theatre), and Richard Abron’s EVERY DAY A VISITOR (Dir. Margarett Perry; The Clurman Theatre). He also served as Associate Producer for The New Black Fest at The Lark in 2015. Tj was designated “Outstanding Undergraduate Creative Writer” of East Carolina University’s Class of 2012. He writes soundtrack reviews for The Music Initiative. B.F.A.
