Nia Farrell

Artistic Programs Apprentice

Nia Farrell is a creator, performer, Afrofuturist. While she started off as an actor, she has expanded her work and collaborations to include writing, directing, and dramaturgy for theater and film. 

In Nia's work as a theatrical composer, Nia focuses on stories that highlight and celebrate the voices and stories of minoritized communities. She has worked for Second Stage Theater (Straight White Men), The Public Mobile Unit (Sweat), and Williamstown Theatre Festival (Apprentice Program). Recent writing credits include Dreams in Black Major (National Black Theatre and Ars Nova ANT Fest). 

Nia received her BFA in Drama from NYU's Tisch School of the Arts (Experimental Theatre Wing).
