Wenxuan Xue

Wenxuan Xue is a transnational Chinese-born, New York-based theater maker and teaching artist.


He is interested in making new work and conducting research on intercultural, postcolonial, queer, sinophone, and transnational Asian theater performances. He strives to use theater as a mechanism for community outreach and social transformation. He recently taught a summer workshop “Making Performance Art” at Xupu No.1 High School in Hunan, China, and facilitated a semester-long tutorial “Performing Asian Transnationalism” at Wesleyan University.
