Evie Schuckman (they/them) is a Chinese American writer, performer, and devising artist hailing from South Florida and Chengdu, China. Their work mainly focuses on themes of brutal womanhood in the crossroads of their experience growing up queer, East Asian, and raised by immigrants in an early 2000s red state. In 2020, they graduated from Boston Conservatory at Berklee with a BFA in Musical Theatre, and an emphasis in Devising and Solo Performance.
Their debut cabaret, “love from Boston, Mom” was produced in 2019. Their most recent collaborative work, “All My Pretty Ones”, based on the writings of Anne Sexton, premiered in 2020 under the direction of award-winning Boston playwright, Johnny Kuntz.
Favorite acting credits include George/The Police Chief in The Balcony (Boston Conservatory), P.K. in The Captives (Palm Beach Dramaworks), and Abraham Lincoln in The Well Dressed Wound (Earthstone Theatre Company).
