The Orchard Project Episodic Lab

Deadline: April 13, 2018

The Orchard Project Episodic Lab will be a two-week accelerator program for 6 to 8 artists with a desire to tell stories in the episodic form; playwrights, TV professionals, novelists, comedians and others are all encouraged to apply. Writers will arrive to the Episodic Lab in Saratoga Springs, NY with a draft pilot script and leave with a refined draft and a show bible. Industry professionals, including television and film producers, directors, and show-runners culled from the program’s advisory committee, will be matched with each participant to read scripts and provide ongoing feedback and mentorship. Advisors for the program will include leading figures in TV, including David Mandel (Veep), Theresa Rebeck (Smash), Andrew Guest (Brooklyn Nine-Nine), Jamie Pachino (Halt and Catch Fire), Bekah Brunstetter (This Is Us), and others. Athena Project Arts Festival

Deadline: April 15, 2018

Athena Project is now accepting submissions for its Plays In Progress Series (PIP Series). This Series will take place in Denver, during March-April 2019, as part of a larger arts festival celebrating the voices of women artists. Three to four new plays will be selected and given a dramaturg, director, cast, and workshop level production during the Festival. All plays from the PIP Series will be considered for mainstage production. MORE INFO

The Dramatists Guild Foundation Fellows

DGF Fellows is a year-long development intensive led by Diana Son, Michael Korie, and Laurence O’Keefe. Participants spend a year honing their craft while developing full-length pieces, culminating in an industry presentation at an Off-Broadway theater. Fresh Ground Pepper's BRB Artist Retreat presents an opportunity for artists of all mediums to initiate their own projects, build collaborative relationships, and develop their artistic process. The FGP BRB Retreat, now in it’s fifth year, has served hundreds of theater artists, musicians, choreographers, composers, designers, installations artists, authors, and podcasters. Pipeline Theatre Company's PlayLab

Through a year-long series of monthly meetings, PlayLab serves as a developmental process for playwrights to build new plays with constructive feedback from fellow writers, directors, and the artistic staff of Pipeline. 21st Annual Aurand Harris Memorial Playwriting Award

The New England Theatre Conference is accepting full-length plays for young audiences, to be considered for this award, created in 1997 to honor the late Aurand Harris for his lifetime dedication to professional theater for young audiences. The Jerome Foundation
