Normal Ave NAPSeries

Deadline: July 17

The NAPSeries is a brand new festival of new plays, featuring 29-hour workshops of four new plays, networking events, and more. The festival will feature three parties, four shows, eight readings, and tons of artists. Participating playwrights will be provided with rehearsal and reading space, receive support developing the team and cast for their show, as well as access to the entire festival. MORE INFO

Ars Nova Play Group

Deadline: July 21

Play Group is a two year residency in which members become part of the Ars Nova Resident Artist community. In addition to biweekly meetings where members share new work and receive feedback from their peers, members also receive dramaturgical support and artistic match-making advice from the Ars Nova artistic staff; invitations to Ars Nova shows, Resident Artists mixers, and to see the work of Play Group alums around the city; two writing retreats; and the opportunity to further develop and showcase one of their plays in a weeklong workshop that can culminate in a public reading. Urban Stages - Small Cast Plays

Deadline: July 22

Urban Stages seeks to give talents a venue to address the multi-faceted issues facing our contemporary world and the resources to develop their voices and gifts. They will be accepting submissions of small cast plays (three actors or less, doubling accepted) for the opportunity of a staged reading. Selected plays will also become eligible for Urban Stages Emerging Playwright Award. MORE INFO

3Girls Theater LEZWrites

3Girls Theatre Company (3GT) is seeking Lesbian/Bisexual/Transgender/Queer and Gender Non-Conforming playwrights and solo performers for LezWritesBTQ, our most recent iteration of 3GT's much loved legacy program, LezWrites. The new program is headed up by Tina D'Elia, and represents the next step for the vision project created by 3GT playwright Margery Kreitman in 2014. Interested LBTQ theatre-makers are invited to submit plays and solo performance pieces for development and performance at our 8th annual New Works Festival in March 2020. MORE INFO

Lanesboro Residency

The Lanesboro Artist Residency Program offers two or four week residencies to emerging artists driven to explore ways in which their work can be applied to the community and how Lanesboro’s rural community can inform their work. The Lanesboro Artist Residency Program, located in Lanesboro, MN (pop. 754), is supported by the Jerome Foundation and aims to provide an immersive, meaningful experience for emerging artists from Minnesota and the five boroughs of New York City. Lanesboro Arts’ goal is to be flexible and accommodating to artists, allowing them access to local resources needed for conceptualizing and realizing their place-based work. MORE INFO
