9Thirty Theatre Company Season Submissions

9TTC produces works that incorporate environmental issues as part of the part, characters, or theme. They are uniquely dedicated to Eco Theatre, connecting humanity and nature, in various forms. 9TTC accepts original one acts, and full length plays and musicals. READ MORE>

2022 PEN/Heim Translation Fund Grants

Deadline: June 1, 2021

The PEN/Heim Translation Fund provides grants to support the translation of book-length works of fiction, creative nonfiction, poetry, or drama that have not previously appeared in English in print or have appeared only in an outdated or otherwise flawed translation. Works should be translations-in-progress, as the grant aims to provide support for completion. There are no restrictions on the nationality or citizenship of the translator, but the works must be translated into English. READ MORE>

Boulder Ensemble Theater Company's Generations 2021

Deadline: June 14, 2021

In order to support the work of parent playwrights, BETC is seeking full-length plays written by a parent with at least one child 18 years of age or younger as of June 14, 2021. Plays must be full-length scripts (at least 70 minutes estimated run-time). Eligible playwrights are parents of at least one child 18 years of age or younger as of the submission deadline. Playwrights must be U.S. residents. The winning playwright will receive: a week-long workshop residency, with daily rehearsals, culminating in a staged reading of the selected script;a stipend for travel costs; a $500 prize; and a $500 childcare stipend to defray the costs associated with childcare during the residency. READ MORE>

Cleveland Public Theater General Submissions

CPT is dedicated to producing bold, adventurous, new work. CPT champions creators of new performance-devising ensembles, directors, playwrights, choreographers, performance artists, etc. Though they seek projects from national and international artists, CPT also makes a special investment in local creators. The General Proposal process requires more from submitting playwrights, but through this process they can better guarantee that each application receives more attention. READ MORE>

Montana Repertory's Bitterroot Lab

Montana Rep is especially interested in new work by Native playwrights; Plays about Montana, its people and its stories; and
short work (15 minutes or less performed) that is specifically site-based for our Plays on Tap series. Although full works are accepted, we invite you to introduce us to your work by sending us a letter of inquiry along with a synopsis and a 10-page selection from one of your plays. READ MORE>

2021-22 Van Lier New Voices Fellowship

Yep, it's some shameless self promotion! We are accepting applications for our Van Lier New Voices Fellowship. Applicants must be legal residents of New York City, identify as playwrights of color age 30 and under at the time of application, demonstrate financial need, and make a case for how the Fellowship and participation in The Lark’s community would promote transformative artistic and professional growth.
