Project Residencies are flexible, private workshop processes for writers to work with a creative team on self-defined developmental goals on a particular project in an intimate, exploratory setting. Each Project Residency is structured based on an individual playwright’s needs, and may involve anywhere from five to 29 hours of focused rehearsal time.
This program is designed as a resource for writers and their creative teams to rigorously and collaboratively investigate new work in progress in organic ways, whether through exploratory design work, movement, improvisation, or simple table work.
The Selection Process
Project Residencies are selected at the discretion of The Lark’s artistic staff, and are typically a next step resource for works developed or generated in other Lark programs.
