When Ben gets lost on a routine mushroom-hunting expedition just north of the Golden Gate Bridge, his semi-estranged adult daughters Vicky and Mush set off into the headlands to retrieve him, only to wind up losing their bearings. Searching for the road back to Vicky’s precious Tesla—and sparring over Mush’s latest thought experiment, Vicky’s new social media app, and Ben’s alienation from his absent son—they encounter a mysterious young boy, and the family outing takes an unexpected turn in a disorienting and increasingly fog-enveloped landscape.
