Sistahgurls and the Squirrel

Sistahgurls and the Squirrel

by Liza Jessie Peterson

A Studio Retreat Reading

Kitty runs an erotic product business out of her modest row-home in West Philly. Her living room is a sales-depot of sorts where several women gather regularly to get merchandise for their erotic product party assignments around town. Kitty's teenage son LaRon is an entrepreneur in his own right and according to Kitty seems to be heading down a dangerous path. When a squirrel jumps into the living room from a hole in the window screen,  chaos ensues, a family secret is revealed, and old wounds come to the surface to be confronted once and for all.

Sistahgurls and the Squirrel was previously developed through The New Black Fest at The Lark.
